Q Sushi

Update
We were feeling sushi today and so we went back to Q Sushi this afternoon for lunch. It was a great decision. The experience was much improved! The quality of the food was better in both presentation and flavor! The service was top notch and both Ethan and Lyndsey were very polite and made our experience rich!

This is a clear winner for sushi in Greenville and the hibachi and apps were also delightful!

I want to start off by saying, please go here! This is a brand new business, and while there are some kinks to work out, there's some things to celebrate as well. I am writing this review with Greenville in mind.

Spontaneously, my lady and I decided to get some sushi while at Lowe's and I remembered seeing Q Sushi nearby. So we went! At the front, the host greeted us and put us on the wait list. The wait wasn't very long.

Food
Make no mistake, this is an all-you-can-eat sushi and habachi place only. No a la cart or individual dishes. The quality of the sushi was much better and fresher than some of the other higher-rated places in Greenville. 4/5 stars for sushi quality! We sampled nearly half of the rolls and most were pretty good. Shrimp tempura fans will do well here. I'm dinging a star here because the appetizers (we sampled 4) were not great. The sushi taco had all the right components, but the execution was a bit lackluster. The 3 fried apps we had were pretty indistinguishable and bland.

Service
It seemed there was a miscommunication between the host and our server as she explained. We waited about 10 mins before we were seen. I will however like to point out that, looking around, the us was not the norm for everyone else. Service around us was quick and constant; looked good. I think our server was randomly assigned to us downstairs and the majority of her zine was upstairs. This is why I am dinging the second star.

Overall, our experience was between ok and good. I think, given other circumstances, it would have been straight up good! I'd happily try here again. I think they can do better and I believe they will!

Bottom line
Give this place a try. It's better quality than some of the other G'ville sushi places with higher rating in Yelp.

I’ve been patiently waiting for this restaurant to open and once I finally came and sat down today, I knew this was going to be an amazing dining experience. The staff was so cordial. The atmosphere and interior was well put together. And amazing transformation. The menu is very easy to read and understand. Once I received my rolls, I was in love. The ingredients were incredibly fresh and crisp. The rolls were a great sized portion. Fantastic appetizers and creativity of each roll. My fiancé and i were in awe of how wonderful each roll kept tasting! Alexa was an incredible waitress for us and made our experience so comfortable and welcoming. Lindsay was so hospitable and down to earth and I enjoyed our conversation and praised the amazing place.

Do yourself a favor and please come get great food, experience amazing service, and a hip atmosphere at Q Sushi!

Great experience.

The only thing keeping them from a 5-star is there were times the people bringing us food weren't sure which roll was which. Also, different peoples rolls were on the same plate. No takeout yet. No hot tea.

Sushi was tasty and consistent. Waitress had good timing asking what we needed. Nice atmosphere.

Good food. Loved that the portions were small so you could order many items without being stuffed off one item, especially if you didn't like it. Hoping they get their liquor license soon. I like to have sake when I eat sushi. Wasn't sure at first if I was going to be happy because I started with the avocado salad. It was brown avocado on top of rotten lettuce. Not a good sign, but they did exchange it for a somewhat acceptable one. It didn't have anything else on it though. No dressing, just lettuce and over ripe avocado, so soy sauce it was to give it a little moisture. I saw a different post where the same salad had carrots and maybe some ginger dressing. I would suggest making sure the item is served the right way every time. Everything else though was wonderful. Most sushi restaurants that offer all you can eat take 20 to 30 minutes to bring you your order. I was afraid we wouldn't get our fill with the tiny portions. But they were extremely fast and never once had to wait too long. That was incredible. But don't expect to get what you see in the menu pictures. Most of them weren't the same. $27/pp - I was a little skeptical but for all you can eat, and fresh fish, it was well worth it.

Everything on the dinner menu we ordered was great, but the volcano rolls, avocado salad and spring rolls were the best. The food came out fast with small plates, so didnt get full and we were able to sample different dishes..Definitely, we will be going again.
