Winslow's Tavern

We had a large party last night and we sat outside on the patio. It was the perfect weather to be outside! Our waitress had only been there three days, but she was super sweet and did a great job. After we ordered some drinks and appetizers, our waitress came out and told us that their system was down and the manager told them not to take any more orders until it came back up. Just because the electronic system went down, they shouldn’t have stopped taking orders...what do you think people did before technology? WRITE IT DOWN. The waitress was very apologetic and you could tell she was a little embarrassed, but we knew it wasn’t her fault. We asked to speak the manager, but he wouldn’t come outside to talk to us (rude). About 45 minutes later, I guess the manager “got the ok” from the owners to take orders by writing them down????. The food was good, the waitress was great, but the management may need to be re-evaluated. The only reason we didn’t leave is because we had a large party and it was so late, we didn’t know if we’d be able to get in anywhere else.

1:30 PM- Atmosphere pleasant. Knowledgable and friendly waitress. Reasonable prices. The beer was cold and the green fried tomatoes were very good.

Fantastic Reuben sandwich. Rye bread not too dry, and corned beef sliced into many pieces. Servers visited us routinely, and open table format makes it an amazing trivia venue (Thursday night 8 pm at the time of this writing, June 7, 2019).

I like the drink & app menu, but am not really a big fan of anything else. The menu changed a little while ago and they got rid of some things that I really loved, so now I am not as inclined to visit. But the service is always pretty good and staff is really nice.

Winslow’s Tavern provides an excellent atmosphere with indoor or outdoor seating options. The craft beer selection is one of the best in the area with the option to purchase individual or bundle cans and bottles. Wine choices are also available. I recommend the Chicken Bacon Ranch sandwich with hand cut chips.
