Loved the atmosphere and service. Friendly and attentive staff. The food was pretty good (the sweet potato biscuit my friend had was just ok). My cheese grits were delicious though.
I visited the biscuit and the bean cafe a few days ago. It was fantastic. The environment was rustic and quiet.
The food and coffee were reasonably priced.
My friend and I order the breakfast casserole and two coffees, a dirty chai and black/white chocolate. The coffees were great and not to sweet.
The casserole was so filling neither of us could finish it. It tasted great and I felt filled up but not overly full.
You should differently come here if you are on this side of town. It is one of favorite places to go and unwind or pickup an afternoon boost.
Great food and coffee! A little hidden gem concept and well worth the "hunt" (Google Maps led here easily). The biscuits are "normal" sized, nothing huge. The quality is outstanding! My daughter and I got the Red Eye biscuit but I got mine on the cheese biscuit (top was a bit crunchy) the coffee rubbed pork and molasses was great together. My wife got the "Egg-ocado" on a buttermilk biscuit. She loved it. The bacon was cooked well but not over done. She would suggest it on toast as the biscuit couldn't hold up. We got a cinnamon muffin, apple fritter, and sweet potato biscuit to go. All were very good and we'll worth getting but not exceptional. Very clean place. Staff were constantly making sure tables were cleared and floors were swept. I highly recommend stopping in.
Owner Laura Smith has created her idea of heaven!!!...top quality baked goods; biscuits, cookies, cakes...and plenty of caffeine!
Sweet potato biscuits started everything. Now it has morphed into a breakfast and lunch haven of comfort food and coffee. The club sandwich is a favorite...but save room for a cookie.
Prepare for a wait on the weekends, its worth it!
