Golden Corral Buffet & Grill

Pretty good. Go mid-day for fresh foods. Wait Staff sucks. Not attentive to patrons. But food is good. High price but its decent.

Golden Corral is a buffet restaurant where you pay one price for all you can eat. They have a large variety to choose from with several types of bars including Mexican, salad, dessert and a variety of meats/vegetables. You pay and choose your beverage when you go in. A server will make sure you have refills and finished plates are removed from your table. Yeast rolls are made fresh. I recommend trying a hot one with their honey butter. Some of the food items were not kept hot. For example the BBQ had a good taste but was barely warm. Overall it was a good experience. The restaurant is large with plenty of parking.

Our visit was around 8 PM on a Sunday night. Golden Corral advertises their great weekend salad bar, but I was not impressed. There were NO "SIGNATURE STEAKS" available on the bar. I don't know if the grill was even on, but it was clean. There was no baked ham (my husband' favorite) visible, so I asked the man behind the grill / bar if they had ham on Sundays. He said no. The only meat displayed in the front was BBQ rib "meat" (No ribs, just the meat). The vegetable selections were okay, I guess, but I missed other items like green beans and green peas. They had turnip greens on the bar, but no "brown" apple cider vinegar available... Just the clear or white. I guess it's cheaper & easier to just buy one vinegar product that can #1 be used as a cleaning AGENT and #2 as a salad seasoning substitute, than to buy two, #1 for cleaning and #2 for salad seasoning with a MUCH better taste. Our waitress, Jessica I believe, was very good.

I always find many things I find tasty. My glass stays full of drink because the staff continually refill it. Love the yeast rolls.
