Flynn's Village Grill

Food was good. Got the homemade chips to go with my burger which is served with a very small plastic container of ranch. Still had over half my chips left and ranch was empty so I asked for more. Didn't realize there was a charge, even if was only .50. I am sure they will just think me a poor tipper, but it was a reflection of my annoyance for this.

Flynn's has replaced Mama T's as the main restaurant in downtown Gold Hill. Some of the waitstaff are the same, and the good generally is as well. Love eating outdoors in the back. They are still dog friendly. No outside tables in the front any longer.

Nailed the pimento cheeseburger! Enough said. My wife got the club sandwich and was relieved to find somewhere that isn’t afraid to put enough meat on a sandwich. Good quality ingredients too. Service is great; hard working and pleasant service staff. The owner took a minute to ask our thoughts on the food and she actually discussed the process they and the kitchen manager had to build a burger. You can tell there’s talent and care because it definitely doesn’t seem thrown together just to get people in and out. We’re looking forward to the next visit!

Waitress was so nice. We had our dog so we sat outside and they turned on the fan for us as we just finished a hike. Shrimp and grits was good but the grits were not fully cooked. The other meals were great. The squash was amazing! The pecan pie was really great!
Also bonus points for the extra large dog water bowl!

Flynn's Village Grill has great food at reasonable prices. My wife and I ate there and we both loved it! They have fresh ingredients and the country fried steak was literally the best I have ever eaten. Flynn's is country folk cookin' country fixings. The man running that kitchen knows what he's a-doin' y'all.
