So, the question asked is “why was your stay excellent?” Well, there’s not enough room for me to list all of those reason, so, I’ll hit the high points…. Last night I married the love of my life here at the 1927 Lake Lure Inn. We planned this day for months, and when it came, the Inn didn’t disappoint. Were there bumps and hurdles, yes. Did they bob and weave, yes. Was this weekend perfect, yes. Patrick attended to every one of our needs. He, and his support team, provided us with the best experience imaginable. Hunter also provided us with an amazing experience in the bar, and believe me, that’s a tall order. The food was amazing as well, with a perfect med rare on our prime rib. Over all, this weekend was spectacular, and we couldn’t be more thrilled with this venue. We will continue to celebrate our lives here, as it’s that special. Bravo 1927 LLI, you knocked it out of the park.
I was part of a wedding here this past weekend. The veranda is a great place to host a wedding. The poolside courtyard makes for an excellent backdrop to recite vows. The staff was very attentive, dinner service was a little chaotic at first but they got it sorted quickly. The food was good, would come back here just to eat. The main inn is very reminiscent of a large quaint bed and breakfast. Patrick the inn manager is very engaged and overall it was a fun wedding experience.
The 1927 Inn is true to its name, and for that it should be commended. The decor is Museum worthy. The rooms are (I guess) original—meaning small— but clean and sufficient.
The people are great (looking at you Emily!), and provide amazing service that will make you feel like you are a Fitzgerald luxuriating in the Roaring 20s.
My small complaints is that the restaurant lacks interest (and vegetarian options), and closes early.
The hotel is so charming. It was like stepping back in time. We loved all the antiques. We stayed 3 nights Sun-Wed in a King jacuzzi room. The room was very clean and the bed was extremely comfortable. The staff was very helpful letting us know about things to do in the area. We will definitely be going back in the spring or summer so we can enjoy the lake and see the flowering bridge.
