The food is good. But! I ordered 2 rolls one tuna and one unagi. the piece of tuna was so small I first thought they forgot to put it on. Other places I go. I get the same thing for same price and get well over double the tuna.

This Japanese restaurant is right beside Dollar tree and fitness 2000 in King NC in a small shopping center. There is no handicap accessible doors at all, only kind of heavy doors then main entrance door to go through
The first thing you see is two large fish tanks with different types of fish, always clean and healthy looking. There is very limited seating to wait at the front but usually not a long wait to sit at a tablet.

The staff has always been friendly and pretty easy to talk to and almost always some of them remember our food orders considering we always get the same thing lol. My wife and I have allergies and can only eat at certain places.

The main problem I have with this restaurant is the bathroom and one section where the time clock is as well as not having a gluten free menu. Last time I was there and had to go to the bathroom,, someone left there pocket book, purse whatever within grabbing distance. I don't know if it happens often but an easy way to steal it. Anyway, the bathroom is usually clean but for some reason the doors are propped open allowing anyone to look inside. There is a partial wall blocking some of the view bit the mirrors help that issue.

The food is almost always good, there are sometimes some of it is not hot enough or slightly overcooked but it hasn't happened very often. I really wish all businesses would redesign their main doors to allow handicapped people a access inside and fix the toilet paper holders above the knee instead of being at knee level as well as buying small toilets, not everyone likes them...

Tokyo and King is a great place to get some good food for a good price. the staff was very accommodating and patient with my children. I hate the fact that they leave two TVs on all the time and play music in the background. The TV's take away from the conversation I get to have with my family. If I want to watch TV while I eat, I will stay at home or go to a sports bar.

Excellent cuisine and atmosphere. I enjoy the Service, Atmosphere, and most importantly; THE FOOD. whether I dine with someone or alone, I have NEVER been the slightest bit disappointed with my experience at Tokyo Japanese Grill. Each time I visit, I am always greeted with the welcoming smile of my hostess, seated promptly and professionally with an introduction to my waitress or waiter.
In turn, there is a prompt inquiry as to choice of beverages and our wellbeing. After getting the food order for the meal, I am soon enjoying a Hot bowl of Japanese chicken broth and a salad. I only wish a choice of bread was offered with the soup and salad. Nevertheless, the entree is always prepared as ordered and served just as I finish the salad and soup. Always hot and extremely tasty.
One of my favorite places to dine in King, NC.. The prices are very reasonable. I would definitely recommend this establishment to anyone.
