Nabers Drive In

Above average taste, but the food is greasy, which doesn't bother me, but FYI. Awesome local owned restaurant, that sports a drive-in order system similad to Sonic, or you can dine inside and enjoy the view beside the river. Friendly southern atmosphere, and great tasting food. I would definitely recommend.

Cheeseburger all the way, onion rings, cherry lemon mountain dew! You have to experience it to get it! I've been going here since the early 70's. Hasn't changed much. Still a great small-town drive-in!

A treasure in the Bryson City area. Had the privilege of dining here with my beautiful wife who educated me on the history of the establishment. It was a honor to dine at a place that means so much to her and her family. Oh, the food is amazing as well!

We loved our lunch here. This is my kind of place... Very nostalgic! I had a hot dog with chili and slaw, which was great. The onion rings are a must, if you like onion rings. My chocolate milkshake was wonderful, too!

First things first, this place is CASH ONLY! No debit or credit cards of any kind. I did see an ATM inside but not sure if it works ????‍♂️, fortunately I do still carry cash. This place is very nostalgic and rustic, unfortunately it’s not because they were going for the look. It’s because it’s never been renovated ????. However the kitchen is clean, the food preparers wear gloves, and are very friendly. It’s a classic “hole in the wall restaurant “ a diamond in the rough if you will. The prices are good and the food is even better! You can eat inside or at the drive in stations. The view of the river is very nice. All in all I would definitely recommend this place, however the issues that prevented it from receiving a 5 star status was the cash only requirement and the fact that it does appear a bit run down. Eye appeal is buy appeal, not sure why some people don’t get that. But I would definitely return, the food was tasty. And it had a nice atmosphere. ????
