Pizza by the river Nantahalla

A family tradition! After taking a duckie down the Nantahala we head to Pizza by the River to devour a hot cheesy pizza and reminisce about the day. There is a hook and eye game that I have yet to accomplish (but I can get Ohhhh, So close!) This is also a great place to watch the more experienced paddlers practice surfing on the rock flow. My boys have a tradition of tossing the leftover slices to the large group rafts filled with teens. It’s a blast to watch their excitement and effort to catch it:)

Great place to eat and relax after a trip down the river

Great place for lunch. Watch the rafters come down the river and the prices are great.

Great food and no one yelled at us when we fed our crust to the ducks.

Very unpretentious little pizza spot on the river. We got there right before closing and were treated to a tasty pie to enjoy next to the river. Would definitely return if I'm in the area again.
