Fresh, good, friendly and great service. Very popular place, especially on Sundays. Plan on a wait from 15-60 minutes (people do) depending on what time you arrive related to local church service times. Stacks in in our restaurant rotations.
This place was okay. If you want the real Stacks Kitchen experience, you should go to the one in Matthews - it's worth the extra trip I promise. The food is okay here, but it's not overwhelmingly impressive. The service is good, they are very friendly and understanding, but the food was lackluster in comparison to the location in Matthews. The wait time here is longer too, as the sitting area holds less people.
Excellent service!! Excellent Pastrami (in house made). Great breakfast with a lot of in house made items especially the breads. Great job. Don't change a thing.
Think diner but better atmosphere and service. It is the best breakfast in Waxhaw. Saturday mornings can get crowded. I like the two egg special with grits, wheat toast, sausage and coffee. You can get hash-browns and bacon instead of grits and sausage. You can also get a biscuit instead of toast. Love there pancakes but I still can't finish a short stack. It is great food with excellent service and decent value. My brother-in-law came down from PA and still talks about the one time he had breakfast at stacks!
We were meeting friends for a breakfast/brunch and I was interested to see how this compared to a diner. Good experience.
Staff was quick and friendly. For a relatively busy time there wasn't much of a wait on any part of the visit.
I went with a western skillet and a short stack of pancakes. Skillet was really good, decent portion size and tasty. Kind of wish I grabbed a pic. I love a good western omelette so all mixed up with hash browns sounded (and was ) great. Pancakes hit the spot too. I probably could have just had the skillet, but it was vacation so I splurged.
Coming from NJ, I got a kick out of seeking a Jersey sandwich on the menu with Taylor ham listed. Made me wonder if someone there was from northern NJ since most of the state says pork roll (the food) versus Taylor ham (a brand of pork roll).
