They give you a menu that you choose from and we did the course menu. They do serve bread. They gave you pallet cleansers after each meal which was a nice refresher. Our drinks were never empty & we were never waiting a long time for anything. Overall our experience was amazing & i highly recommend this place.

Some of the finest dining available in the Triangle. Chef Greene has created something truly unique with his southern haute style. You can have the warmth of comfort food with the wonder and subtilty of fine dining.

The service is impeccable, with a wait staff that reflects the style of the food, high class enough to explain the nuance of each dish but still friendly and down to earth. Scott and Rich are 2 of my favorites, but everyone there is great.

I highly recommend ordering their tasting menu so you can get the full breadth of their menu. The wine selection is phenomenal as well with something for every pallet.

We had a wonderful meal at Herons. The food was delicious and creatively prepared. The food was locally sourced and fresh. It was beautifully presented and the food combinations were original and The service was impeccable. We opted for the 4-course meal with wine pairings. (There are options for no wine pairings and 3- or 8-course meals as well.) Robert, our sommelier for the evening, picked wonderful wines and his presentation of each wine was a real treat! Honestly one of the best meals I've ever had and a memorable experience. Highly recommend Heron's for a truly wonderful experience.

Food, service & wine list are the best in the area. But...

I think the menu could do with a refresh because I have had these eggs for the last 4 years. Wonderful but I am tired of the molecular gastronomy when every meal is disguised as something else.

That said, Herons is the only world class dining experience in the Triangle.

So maybe they know a lot more than me...

The four course setup was fantastic! I absolutely was thrill at how excited my girlfriend was for our first year anniversary to have dinner there. The customer service what's spectacular in the food even better. Second to nine! What made it even better was between every course there was a wine pairing to go with it and the chef sent out surprises as well. Definitely will be back soon!!!
