The Shiny Diner

Been here a couple times now. Owner/manager is incredibly nice. They already remember us after 2-3 times. Milkshakes are the bomb. Gonna have to make this a regular occurrence on Sundays after church.

Has an authentic-looking 50's dinner feel, complete with an old jukebox. We enjoyed the all-day breakfast. After a long day travelling.

It was okay. It was no Jersey diner as it tried a little too hard especially with the decor, but I get it. This is NC so it's a novelty. Anyway, the food was okay. I did really like my hash browns and eggs but I wasn't a fan of the sausage. That being said, I will give them another chance as I would like to try their sausage and gravy biscuit as well as their hot cakes. Will probably update this review accordingly when I have returned. They were understaffed when I went and 1 waitress had to host, wait tables and cash patrons out. That made their service slow, but being shorthanded I'm assuming is not the norm. It happens.

Always excellent service and the owner, James, is very personable! We always enjoy coming here, though it can be very busy and bustling at most times! I would highly recommend this establishment, food and service are top of the line. 10/10.
