Cantina 18— Morrisville

Now we had only margueritas and guacamole, but they were GOOD! Had a pineapple jalapeno one, delish

Salsa wasn't great but the chips were a great appetizer. Chicken taquitos were a little bland. The toppings were a welcome flavor addition.

I've enjoyed many good meals here, and particularly like the tacos and the salmon with the adobo glaze. We went there for dinner on Easter (this evening), but the reason for this review is to comment on the dessert.
We usually skip dessert when dining out, but the Strawberry Shortcake looked really good from its description. We're big fans of chocolate, and we noticed that their "shortcake" was chocolate cake. So we decided to give it a try, and asked for a serving with two spoons.
What the waiter brought us was, well, atypical. It was a slice of roll cake on a plate, and a fairly thin slice at that. Nothing else.
It contained some very mild chocolate cake, some whipped cream, a modicum of sauce and less than a tablespoon's worth of strawberries.
When I think back on all of the different ways I've had this dessert prepared, it's seriously difficult to make it disappointing. This was an exception.
Love the food, guys, but I'll be going elsewhere for dessert on those rare occasions when I'm ready for the calories.
