The Full Moon Oyster Bar-Morrisville

This was my first experience. It was absolutely AWESOME. I HAD THE ALL YOU CAN EAT CRAB LEGS AND SHRIMP. YUMMY! I really enjoyed it! SHAWN AND NICOLE were absolutely beautiful servers that made sure my dining experience was OUTSTANDING! It was a lively place full of laughter and fun. The seafood was so fresh! Thanks SHAWN, NICOLE, AND THE FULL MOON STAFF!

EXCELLENT PLACE! ❤️❤️❤️ The "Full Moon" menu item is great! I like the atmosphere here as well. There is something special they do with the corn on the cob, and I keep craving it. It is some kind of red powder they put on the corn that makes it taste amazing. In fact, everything here is amazing. You can't go wrong!

Overall, the seafood was great, especially the oysters and shrimp (flounder was fried a tad bit too much, but edible). The server told me the oysters and shrimp are brought in fresh daily. I believe it..... Before my platter (see photo) came out, he gave me a bowl of cole slaw and reached underneath the table area and gave me a bowl of boiled, sliced, red potatoes. I was grossed out that he retrieved them from underneath the table, but decided to taste one. It tasted/smelled like an "old house", if you know what I mean.....

If you are looking for a cozy, romantic, private restaurant, this is NOT the place for that. This place has 4 "bars" with a server assigned to each one (see photo). It reminds me of the Japanese restaurant concept, where everyone eat and sits together. You can't help but hear other groups' conversations, like it or not.

The server was great. He was knowledgeable about the menu and constantly checked to confirm my party was okay... Would I go back? Sure, but not weekly.

Those of us who had the specials really enjoyed the food and the service... both great as is the atmosphere! One flaw... 18% gratuity is automatically charged to all in the party when the special is ordered. In other words, a party of four can order regular items and not be charged the 18%. If one person in the party orders the special, ALL get charged the 18%. Unfortunately, the person that recommended FMOB, who arrived very late and did not have the special, to us will no longer patronize her once-favorite spot... but I will while I'm here!
