Freddy's Frozen Custard & Steakburgers

The food is always good. Burgers, hot dogs, fries, and a veggie burger on the menu. The crown jewel is frozen custard. Shakes. Malts. Sundaes. Cones. All good. During my last visit, they were busy and didn't keep the tables clean.

First time at this place. If it's competing with Char-Grill, it's not even close. Ordered Freddy's Original Double. Almost didn't recognize it as a burger. Where's the beef? Sticking out of the bun were two paper-thin "Steakburger patties" with crunchy latticework edges. Came with pickles, mustard, onions. Disappointing. This is a burger place founded in Texas, cattle country. For $6.38 I expected more beef! Folks, burgers should have thick, juicy recognizable beef. Never crunchy! Freddy's is not on my list of return visits.

Decent burgers. Good milkshakes. Shoestring fries are very tasty. The drive-thru is very slow with staff that have trouble staying on task. The burger meat is similar to homemade. I do think both inside and outside staff need to be trained better at customer service.

Such a Great place to sit down and enjoy a great meal. My girlfriend and I came here tonight for the first time. Our experience here was over the top, employees were very friendly and caring. The food was awesome and on top of it all we got a free single dish of custard from Chanel. I highly recommend this location. We will be back!!!!! Thank you!

The double burger is great (even better with grilled onions). If you don’t try the fry sauce, you are missing out on one of the best kept secrets east of the Mississippi. Smooth creamy custard is always a hit with the family. Restaurant was clean and workers were friendly. Thanks Kevin for being a great host.
