Good old school steak house. Amazing salad bar good drinks perfectly cooked steak. If you are a fancy Ruth Chris person then it won't be your style but if you just want good food it's awesome. It's sort of reminisant of the sort of place Don draper have lunch ????
Enjoyed the ambiance, friendliness of the staff and most of all: the food. The salad bar was one of a kind and the steaks were cooked to perfection. Personally, I am a huge fan of the prime rib. The dim lighting made for a pleasant date night.
Old style steak house with an open kitchen and cut to order steaks. Reasonably priced and good service. Order from the menu and you have the option to have the beef brought to your table and you can decide how thick of a slice you want. They are all cooked over an open charcoal fire and were done perfectly. Great salad bar with many extras. Dress should be business but it is very casual.
Went to this place for Mothers Day dinner on a Saturday night. The restaurant was very crowded, the bar had very limited options for a steakhouse. The experience was pretty cool being that they come to your table and prepare a custom cut of steak for you, however the salad bar and sides that came with the meal was mediocre at best. For the money we spent, we could have spent $100 more dollars and went to angus barn. The food was not terrible, but it also was not super great either. There are much better steakhouses in Raleigh.
I'll be honest: Once you enter the doors of The Peddler, it's like going back in time. The great: Salad bar. The selections and variety are pretty impressive. Last time, they even had smoked oysters at the salad bar. The mixed drinks are top notch. The good: Steaks are cooked over a wood fired grill, almost in plain view of the tables near the front. Is it the best steak I've had in town? No, but it's more than delicious enough. The bad: The decor, but honestly, it's such a small nit, it doesn't really matter.
