Mr.Wonderfuls Chicken & Waffles

I found this restaurant while browsing the Web couple months ago. Pictures looked good so I was determined to try it for myself. I drive 1 hour and 20 minutes to get here and it was well worth it. My son came from Greensboro to meet me and got there before I did, he called me saying they were closed. I was truly disappointed but by time I arrived the manager had opened up. Apparently there was a slight staff issue. I said all that to say this. Even though they were short handed they still opened up and served some delicious food. The lady taking orders was very courteous as well as the young men doing the cooking. They constantly checked on us as well as other customers being very courteous and professional. It was my first time but definitely not my last. The cheesecake waffles was DELICIOUS as well as the chicken. I see a few other things on menu that catches my eye and can't wait to go back and try them.

I love this restaurant like no other. The owners are wonderful. The staff is friendly. The food is amazing. This place has the best chicken wings in Raleigh! The fish is scrumptious too. I am so glad they opened up in our community. I feel the pride and love every time I walk into the door. If you haven't eaten here yet, stop by ASAP and make sure you try some Sweet Jesus Sauce on your chicken or fish.

I stopped here today to eat, and it was my first time going to this restaurant. I wanted some great tasting soul food. I was not disappointed at all! We were waited on by James. He was absolutely AMAZING. He was extremely professional from the second we walked in, until the moment we left. I ordered the waffles and 4 wings, and mac and cheese. The food was DELICIOUS. It's a family style environment, down to earth and comfortable. I'll be back the next time I'm in the area. To the owner, James is AWESOME. HE is the reason I'll be telling everyone I know to make sure they stop in. Thanks for great service and a great meal!

I got the Waffle and 4 wings. It was one of the best waffle I have had and the wings were good too. My girlfriends got the chicken cutlet and waffle. I was impressed with the cutlet, it had great flavor and was very juicy, cooked perfectly. The Sweet Jesus (honey lemon pepper) glaze was very tasty on both the chicken and the waffle. The food took a little bit long to come out, but it was worth it. The people were Very friendly, and don't be surprised if the chef/owner walks out to greet and talk with you. Our waitress, was very nice, but a bit forgetful. I got the feeling she was new to the job, so I imagine she will improve and won't old that against her.

There are many options on the menu and I will for sure be going back. It is run by the type of good people that deserve all the success in the world.
