Huge and yummy hot cakes. One order of pancakes is more than enough for two and bacon is great. Southern hospital at its finest!

Great food, atmosphere and service. I was pleasantly surprised that the food and drinks were so cheap. A true southern gem downtown!

This has to the best country cooking I've ever had! The venue comfort setting goes hand and hand. The service was really good, one little mishap but due to the food quality and quantity I can easily over look that. I walked out of there with a big smile on my face!!! Thanks for the experience!

Big Ed's is a down home country cooking staple in Raleigh. With two locations in Raleigh, it's hard to go wrong if traditional southern fare is your goal. As one who grew up on the best of country cooking, Big Ed's takes me back to grandma's table every time! Desserts are great and they do a surprisingly good job with their seafood dishes! One of the most awesome restaurants ive been to! The atmosphere, the food and the staff were absolutely great!! Its a hidden gem! Loved it!

Breakfast was appetizing with one exception the catfish was undercooked. The waitress was very cordial and personable. The pancakes are huge and delicious. Overall, we enjoyed our meal and the atmosphere. I would highly recommend this restaurant.
