Excellent authentic Indian restaurant with good portions and a great lunch buffet. Not amazing ambiance at this restaurant, and the dinner prices are not cheap, but the food is delicious. Dinner portions are generous and there is always some food to take home. The lunch buffet is an excellent deal for $11, and has a rotating assortment of foods that can't be found at average Indian lunch buffets, making it an excellent spot to re-visit every now and then.
Some of the best Indian food I’ve ever had (chicken, fish, lamb, vegan dishes). It may take a little bit of time to prepare, but absolutely worth the wait. Spice levels are serious would not recommend going over medium for the uninitiated.
Great great food. I got chicken tikka with medium spice and it was very very good. Huge portions of rice and meat. Would definitely recommend again. A little steep in price but you get it back in size and quality.
Recommended to us by a professional chef and, yum! Service was prompt and friendly. The food was amazingly tasty. One of the best Indian restaurants I've been to.
They have a buffet, I believe at lunchtimes.
The dining area is nice enough for date night.
Stopped by Dharani Express on our way from Savannah, GA to Pennsylvania and were very happy we did. We were planning to have dinner around the Raleigh area and found this restaurant to have very good reviews on Google. Unfortunately it has been a very very long time since my wife and I "really liked" the food in any Indian restaurant considering we live pretty close to NJ and visit Edison that is supposed to have some of the best Indian restaurants in Northeast. After having our dinner at Dharani Express, both of us felt that this was definitely one of the best Indian foods we had in a long time. Best part was that everything tasted natural and flavorful. Most Indian restaurants seem to add heavy cream in everything and use the same base sauce for all dishes. Artificial colors is another major issue we found with most Indian restaurants. Fortunately, we did not encounter any of these here. The mango lassi was also excellent.
