La Stella Wood Fired

Secured a reservation for dinner, but when I showed up they did not have a record of my reservation. Thankfully, they were not at all busy and more than accommodating. The food was very good, and fairly priced. Both the kitchen and restaurant manager asked how everything had gone which was very nice. The only thing keeping this review from being 5 stars was the waitress. She was not personable, attentive, or active. I'm not sure if she was new, or just does not have the right personality to be a waitress. This appeared to be an anomaly as the rest of the wait staff was wonderful. Would recommend.

Great staff, clean environment. Food was amazing. Big screen TVs open kitchen with awesome fire wood burning stoves. Great prices, zesty flavors. Highly recommend. 😚😚😚😚

Neat location, really cool architecture and design of the interior. We had a party of 7 around 5 PM on a Saturday and were seated upstairs which is more of a lounge than it is a place to eat dinner. It was cool if you're into eating off of an old hood of a car that was supposed to be used as an ottoman. Definitely would have preferred a table over that for dinner.

Our food was really good but it was over priced. 16$ for 6 small slices of pizza seems like a stretch. Beers were fairly priced although menu does not accurately state what beers are on draft (asked for 2 out of the ~10 and they were not available).

Service was very polite and accommodating although it was a bit longer for each request due to the fact we were not sitting at a table and were up in the loft area.

Probably would only come back for drinks and light snacks. Not really worth the $$ for the small portions of food.

While a lot of people go out to eat strictly for the food experience, I enjoy a place with atmosphere and good service as well. I'm giving La Stella 4 stars because while the service was incredibly prompt, I believe the kitchen was TOO prompt as the pizza seemed fairly underdone. I enjoy a firm piece of pizza and what I received was so flimsy that none of the toppings (just cheese and pepperoni) stayed on long enough for me to eat it without a fork! Tasty, just needed longer in the oven. Our waiter, Sage however was delightful and we enjoyed several great conversations with him.

I had a wonderful time there last night me and my best friend. The food was great, especially the brussel sprouts were great which had honey on them. The chef even came out to ask me how we liked our food. Also, some of the drinks they had they even let us taste them before buying them. I can not say enough great things about the place. We sat at the bar and ate and the bartender was great. She was very social and gave us the fun Saturday night feel.

I wanted to add one of the reviews said the establishment has an issue with black women. I don't know about their experience but my best friend and I are both black women in our 30s and we never sensed any hostility so hopefully they addressed the issue.
