Midtown Grille

Went for Mother’s Day brunch - first visit - and had a great time. More importantly my mother did. This is a restaurant and staff that truly know how to handle occasions without making you feel rushed or like a burden on them. We were warmly greeted and seated right away. Service was attentive but not overbearing and at no time did we feel rushed. The food was fabulous. I had shrimp and grits, my mother had the crab omelette and my wife the lamb sausage hash. After our main dishes we shared their house made donuts and had coffee. Everything was delicious. If I lived in Raleigh, I would go more often.

A solid place for a nice dinner out. Sensible specials and a sensible menu with a good wine list. Lovely atmosphere that's a bit hidden away. Maybe that's part of the charm.

Restaurant has nice ambiance. Food was "okay" tasting, nothing special. I had the scallops which were somewhat over cooked. The presentation was very nice and the accompaniments were excellent! The Caesar salad was VERY disappointing especially for the price!

My mom and her husband hosted my mom's 60th birthday party at Midtown. They booked the private room in the back for 25 people. The food was delicious and the servers were mostly on top of things. There was one individual at my table who had to ask 3 times before getting a new water glass, but that was the only flub I witnessed out of a big crowd. The servers took their time between courses so everyone could enjoy each other's company, which I like. The room got really hot, but was better when we asked then to turn down the temp. I had a mixed greens salad with goat cheese, a salmon dish that was served over hummus, and a chocolate hazelnut dessert. All 3 were amazing. I have been to Midtown several times prior to this event and I've always enjoyed their food and the service has always been stellar. Thanks for a memorable evening. I know my mom loved it and that's the most important thing to me.

The food at Midtown Grill was absolutely amazing! This is my second time back here and it has only gotten better. The lobster mac and cheese was so delicious and the lobster tasted great. My husband had a perfectly cooked medium steak, while I had beautifully seared and sweet scallops. Its hard to believe anyone would rate this place lower than 5 stars because everything was phenomenal. The service was great as well and we were highly impressed with the cocktails we received and the intimate ambiance. I highly recommend visiting Midtown soon for a fantastic dinner/ date night!
