Toot-N-Tell

Tammi was our server, she's fantastic! The food was excellent! Carolyn, the cook even came out and spoke with guests in dining area to check on satisfaction. If you love home cooked southern cooking you must stop in!

My family and I were recently at Toot N Tell for early dinner and boy were we happy we stopped in. We ate off the buffet and there's a lot of good food to be had there. The fried chicken was honestly the best I've had since my Grandmother's and my wife also raved about it. Our daughter ate a whole plate of mixed entrees and she especially liked the chicken and dumplings.
The desserts were fantastic and clearly all made on site with pride. The lemon cake and strawberry cake were very good and the chocolate pie and banana pudding were as good as I've had in a long long time.
The decor is nothing to write home about but it's what you'd expect from a hometown restaurant that's been in business for 50 years or more. While its look is dated everything was clean. But probably the most important thing about this restaurant was how friendly and kind everyone working there was. And folks let me tell you after working in a variety of food service and retail operations from Mom and Pop sized to mega stores when employees are that friendly that means they're happy and the ownership is doing right by them. If you looking for down home cooking stop in Toot N Tell, I think you'll be pleasantly surprised.

Food was amazing!! That was the juiciest chicken breast I've ever eaten. The portion sizes were very nice too. Polite staff was a bonus!!

If you enjoy eating southern cooked vegetables for lunch, this is my #1 place to go to when in the Garner area. Food is available as a buffet which has helped me many times to get a good meal in a somewhat fast fashion. Why waste $ on a fast food joint where you don't have an option for a hot vegetable plate? There's a drive-up window or you can sit down inside (very casual atmosphere).
