Big Al's BBQ

Love me some Big Al's BBQ. I remember trying to find his truck before he opened the restaurant and his BBQ is still just as good. The ribs are amazing -- great bark, good smoke with just the right bite. You can often find Big Al hanging out at the restaurant; make sure you say high when you come in.

The service was very fast, within 5 minutes of ordering. However the food tasted fastfood. The ribs, sausage and chicken I tasted were lacking in smoke flavor. Also the meat needed more salt. The smoked Turkey and the the hushpuppies were the best I tasted. The mashed sweet potatoes were extremely hot, but only average in flavor. The choice of sauces were plentiful.

My husband and I love trying BBQ where ever we are. Big Al’s is the best BBQ we have ever had! The service is always great and the amount of food you get for the money is amazing . The hush puppies are awesome! We get the family pack a lot, great value.

Big Al's good home style cooking with a flair for original and surprising new dishes! The varities of sauces for your barbecue is great! The only thing I would change is to label the bottles from the top so they can be located quicker and not cause customer back up . Otherwise, come on over and get your eat on! Delicious!

I shared a 1/2 rack rib platter with my wife today. She had the okra and I had the green beans. The dining room was fairly empty, which was rarely the case on previous visits, and our meal was brought to us in just a few minutes. The ribs were delicious and just the right tenderness, and the vegetables were well seasoned. Portions were adequate for two, although ribs this good always leave me wanting more. I would have been happier with a full rack, but I was trying to exercise some restraint.
