I was blessed to venture to Tony’s for the first time on Halloween. The service was amazing, the food outstanding, and that Walk of Shame cocktail, absolutely to die for! I had a fantastic time with friends closing down the place listening to a super fun band. If you need a good night out and some great food, I highly recommend Tony’s Taps & Oyster Co.!!!
We were regulars at the old Tony’s. It was close to our house, we knew and liked the staff, and we loved their raw oysters and appetizer specials. We’ve really looked forward to the re-opening and finally got to visit tonight. A few things have changed. The decor is more modern and we miss the New Orleans theme but our high tables near the bar were still there! The menu has changed and is more conventional (less Cajun dishes, more chicken strips etc) but there are several good seafood options. We had raw NC oysters that were excellent, as always. Our entrees were shrimp and grits and a fried seafood plate - both very good! They have a good selection of local craft beers on tap. We miss the old staff but the new folks are very friendly. Servers wore masks and tables were well spaced, so high marks on the COVID front. We look forward to becoming regulars again!
Some of the best and most affordable seafood in the area.... Not to mention that the atmosphere and setup at the raw bar is conducive to a good time! We started with steamed oysters that come with the best Cole slaw I've ever had (might sound like a weird combo but you have to try it!). Someone else ordered the nachos and they were HUGE and packed with flavor. For entrees we ordered salmon that was just perfectly cooked and seasoned, a surf and turf burger, crab legs and shrimp. There were no complaints and noone left hungry! Jeff was our server and the service couldn't be beat. Can't wait to go back and try the other items on their menu (ie: mac & cheese and/or shrimp & grits)
Cool environment and friendly staffs. Crab stuffed tater kegs are definitely recommended for appetizer. Oysters are in good quality. Steamed pot w/ Half snow crab is definitely good for 2-4 people. Beverages are also good and price are reasonable.
