The Pointe at Lake Gaston

It's America food and one that has good service. Lots of fried foods some salad choices and a few meat options. This is a far cry from 5 star dining but it's good after a long day on the lake. Prices are a bit high considering the location, but again being one of the few choices in the area gives them leverage. Go with an open mind enjoy the large portions, friendly service and great view! Afterward take the kids to the dock to see: ducks, and several types of fish. They love leftovers!

One of two places on the lake to get food. Always crowded on holiday weeks, so be prepared to wait.
If possible, eat outside as there is more space and great views.

Tried this at the recommendation of a friend. Loved the view and the food. The service was good. I just wish the hostess had not sat us next to two very large and extremely boisterous tables. It made it very hard to enjoy our meal and pretty much eliminated conversation. What was supposed to be a romantic date turned into a lot of smiling and nodding and pretending to hear each other.
