I’ve lived in Boone about 12 years and Melanie’s is by far my favorite place to get local lunch/breakfast. It’s consistently delicious, run by outstanding staff, and always worth the wait. My favorite menu item: Extreme Appalachian Breakfast. My boyfriend’s is Potato Madness. If you’re looking for the best local brunch, consider your search over!
Phenomenal food. Picked up my order less than 5 minutes ago and its already gone. Solid portions and good service. Made sure I had everything I needed before I left, even opened the box and showed me my meal. Prices are slightly higher than your average trip to IHOP, but the quality of the food easily outweighs it
When we take a trip to my friends mountain cabin we are sure to make it over to Melanie’s every single time. I look forward to coming to the mountains so we can come eat breakfast at Melanie’s. It’s so delicious and wonderful. The only thing is it’s so good that there’s ALWAYS a wait. but i guess that’s a good sign! It’s well worth the wait!!!
This little local spot was quite a treat. My wife and I went there for breakfast, and we thoroughly enjoyed it. We aren't vegetarians/vegans, but there was plenty on the menu for people who are. The food was fresh and delicious. The menu was varied and just about everything sounded good. I would definitely eat here again and recommend it to anyone in the Boone area.
Phenomenal. Even if you go just for the pancakes, GO! The biscuits are amazing. The grits are amazing. The home fries are amazing. The coffee is amazing (even the decaf). Should I use words other than amazing? The Mexican omelet is exquisite. If you want to go all-in, the extreme Appalachian breakfast is the way to go, but at the end of the day you can't make the wrong choice if you choose something from Melanie's.
