Azul Tequilas Mexican Bar & Grill

This is the best true Mexican food I’ve ever had. The service was amazing and the atmosphere was amazing also. The price of our food was incredible less than I had expected it to be. On a scale of 1 to 5 I would rate this restaurant at a 10. This is definitely a place to eat for authentic Mexican cuisine. They also have a great Bar for adult beverages.

BY FAR the best Mexican restaurant in Goldsboro! Everything has sooo much flavor. I have tried the taco bowl, super burrito, cheese enchiladas and the tropical ceviche! It was so good, I have gone twice in one day. Absolutely THE BEST!

Got the tropical margarita. Was very tasty and very strong. I’m a light weight and this was more than enough. Lol. The salsa is amazing with a thicker texture and I got the Texacano burrito with chicken, steak and choriza and it was to die for!

Hard to describe our experience. To be fair, we came for the first time on a really busy day (Father’s Day). The guy that greeted us and took our initial drink order was really rushed. He literally sat us down, gave us menus then immediately asked if we knew what we want to drink as we were just cracking the menu open. Again, not that it’s completely wrong but he really seemed out of his element. The other staff were really friendly and personable.

The food had really great flavor but lacked on quality tortillas. My wife’s tacos kept falling apart like maybe the tortilla wasn’t fully cooked or just too greasy. The tortillas I got with my meal were definitely store bought flour tortillas. The meat and nopales weren’t sliced all the way so it made it difficult to cut in the stone bowl without making a mess. Again, flavor was really great, just execution and quality tortillas were lacking. Overall, wouldn’t mind coming back on a less hectic day to give a second chance. The place is worth it.

Great flavor and hospitality. Everything was done promptly. The food portion was very generous. We look forward to coming again to this quality family business!
