Compadres Mexican Restaurant

I went for lunch and I was not impressed. The decor was typical for a Mexican restaurant and it was dark. The service left a little to be desired, I came in after the lunch rush and still brought queso instead of guacamole. Then waited again for the guacamole. The food was standard fare, really didn't have a lot of flair or flavor. Would not make this my once week taco stop.

The decor is fun with lots of cool knick knacks to look at. The people who work there are friendly. The salsa was awesome. The cheese enchilada was very good. The restaurant is clean and the people work hard. The taco was bland and lacking seasoning. The chips, while tasty, seemed stale and lacked that snap and crunch I expected. The cheese dip was bland and lacked spices. The night we were there, they were quite busy and service was slow and subpar. Drinks, chip refills and special requests such as sour cream came out very slowly.

I gave them a 3 because I think my visit this time was average, not exceptional nor terrible. I would eat there again. Many of the issues I mention above are correctable; it is entirely possible that on another visit I would have better service and more seasoned food and would then give this restaurant a much higher rating.

Love this place!! We have never had a bad experience. Food is always great and service is always great.

Amazing food at great prices! What more can you ask for?!? The staff is always courteous. The portions are good sized and fill you up. ????
