Let me start by saying I have lived in West Texas for almost 2 years now... and even when you live 3 hours from the southern border, you can’t get as good of Mexican food down there as you can here. Seriously. My favorite is Tres Primos, gives you a bit of everything and the proteins are always cooked perfectly. Don’t forget the smoothest, strongest margaritas you can get anywhere and you’re in for a good evening. This place is always one of our “treats” when we’re in town. You gotta try it

The food here is a balance of American favorites and unique specialty items that are based on recipes from the Cancun area of Mexico. Some Mexican restaurants tend to be meat-heavy, but Pueblo Real offers a good blend of vegetables throughout the menu. They also feature several pineapple dishes, an entree with cactus, and several dishes for two. The chips are almost always warm and crisp and the salsa is tasty, without too much spice. Even the handmade guacamole appetizer is pretty mild, but can be spiced up for those who like hotter fare.

Some of the menu items are lunch-only, while others are on both lunch and dinner menus. The restaurant opened to great fanfare and has maintained a steady flow of customers such that there are times even on a weeknight that you might have to wait a few minutes for a table. It's worth it. Many local patrons like the adult beverage selections. The staff is always smiling and you can tell they work well together.
Several TVs over the bar make provide a variety of entertainment.
The place is also good for local meetings during the day.

Got the tacos, all three were quite sizable and came with a plate of beans and cheese. Also came with toppings for the tacos. You get free chips and salsa to start off with which was nice. Happy hour was 3 to 5 and the domestics were only a dollar. My waitress, cant remember the name, was super nice and accommodating. A nice place to relax and have a meal.
