Generations Cafe

This place is awesome. Wait staff is very friendly and food is delicious. I 100% recommend their breakfast bowl you will not be disappointed.

We like to support our locally owned and operated restaurants and we've eaten at Generations a number of times. The decor is great - what you would expect in a century old building in a small town, with a beautiful antique bar, cool fixtures, and pictures of music legends on the wall. The breakfast is usually good and filling and served all day long and the servers are nice. However, our dinner last night was less appetizing.
There were very few people in the restaurant. Took a long time to get our salads (although the salads were beautiful and fresh). My husband and I both ordered the ribeye steak (mine rare, my husband's medium well).
Unfortunately, both steaks were dry and tough as shoe leather, and my husband's baked potato was undercooked and hard. He could only eat a couple of bites and although we took his out in a take home box, he threw it in the trash right outside the restaurant. Too pricey to get such a poor product! We will go back for breakfast but there are better options for dinner.

Best hamburger and fries that I have had in years. Most places serve frozen pre-made patties. NOT HERE!!! The patties were hand made and fried perfectly. The fries were home made and so good. We loved it. Plan to eat there again. It was our first time but it won't be our last. Ans service was super.

I am from out of town. Came here with my girlfriend's family and it was fantastic. I had the omelette bowl. Their gravy is awesome. Heck, even the tap water is fantastic. Apparently that is St. Mary's in general though. The dining area was gorgeous as well. Great atmosphere too!
