Smokey Bones Bar & Fire Grill

Poor service. Was seated at a very slow time of day and waited 15 minutes before going to find someone to get us beverages. Then finally ordered after that (6 people seated after us were already getting their appetizers around us). Food is always good, but for the money it isn't worth that wait. Waited for our waitress twice more during dinner as well.. if busy I understand, but when not, it's not a good thing...

This place has combined a bar and restaurant perfectly. The wood they used to build with gives it a cozy look. The service is normally fast. Even when they are getting slammed and service speed has slowed down they are still prifessional about it. I always feel like i am more then just a customer when I'm here. The food is comfort food. You can eat lite with a salad. But i love to go all out. Their homemade cornbread with almond butter is a must for me and my family with any meal. Sometimes its our desert even. If you love grilled meat with tasty sides then come on over here.

Really tasty brisket, pulled pork, and smoked chicken. The baked beans are good but some might find them to be overly tangy. Nice thick Texas toast. Our server was good but I think they had him covering too many tables. There was quite a wait for our check because we didn't have the "pay at the table" device.

Edit: Revisited 12/18 - service was excellent, no waiting for our check with the tabletop payment. One drawback was I ordered brisket and our server explained that I might want to choose something else. It was near the end of the cut and was overly fatty. The last time we were their and I ordered some and it was rather fatty. Very tasty, but fatty. I don't know how this would have compared to the previous visit but I chose smoked chicken over the brisket. I appreciated the fact that she gave me a heads up to the "condition" of the cut. Overall pleased with the visit.
