City Barbeque and Catering

I was on my way to eat at City Barbecue in West Chester Ohio at VOA. When I noticed an older man having trouble standing so I sent my daughter in to get a chair. When she returned one of the employees was with her Diana Moon. This employee is an outstanding lady. She paid for mine and my daughters lunch. Diana Moon also helped us get the older man into his car. We had no idea that she was gonna take care of out order until I tried to pay. The cashier told us that our order was taken care of. Diana Moon is a reason that I will come back and eat here. Not only is she a very good person she showed us what good employees are supposed to do. She really did go above and beyond the expectations.

Solid barbeque. Everything is consistent which can be rare. One of my favorite places for brisket around the city. All of the sides are great but the mac n cheese is bland and dry. Awesome deal for large parties and catering.

Really good, their sausage has a really good peppered flavor and their ribs are good when you don't get the really fatty cuts. Last time I went my ribs were nearly all fat ,cut right at the end of the rib bone and I barely had any actually meat to eat. I've also had that issue with the brisket before as well. Aside from the occasional slab of fat instead of meat, they're very good.

This chain has great food, but this location on this particular Saturday was crazy. It was really busy and they don't have a ticket management system. So, a dozen people are crowding around the counter waiting to hear "who got the beef brisket...?". It took over 45 minutes to get our food (which is long for this restaurant), and the sides were cold when we finally did. Staff is mostly nice. We received an eye roll when we asked for a side of ranch sauce though.

Outstanding award winning brisket. Ribs are good but not outstanding. Cooked to Louisiana style meaning the meat does not fall off the bone. I prefer the meat fall off. Good atmosphere for kids and families. Service is friendly and efficient. I recommend City BBQ with no reservations. Enjoy!
