Excellent service. Delicious home cooked food. The best kept secret in the Greater Dayton area!

First time up there and it was fabulous! I had the chicken, baked potato and their delish Cole slaw. Yum, yum. Also took home a piece of coconut cream pie that really hit the spot.
Their home made bread is to die for. Was able to take some home so I can make french toast in the morning!!! Can't wait!

Oh my, you just can't say anything bad about this place. Broasted chicken, Cole slaw, fresh baked bread. If you can't find anything here , your just not hungry. Oh and did I say Cole slaw!! Amazing

I had the Mel-O-Dee cater a reception after my mom's funeral service back in March. I was so impressed with the food and Charlotte who catered all by herself, normally they have two people. Everyone at the reception was commenting on how great the food was. Charlotte was a joy to work with and was very caring especially due to the circumstances. I am not local; I was planning this from states away, but Charlotte made everything so easy and seamless. I grew up in the area and my mom use to go to the Mel-O-Dee and bring home broasted chicken, cole slaw, and bread. It was always yummy! And it still is! I highly recommend the Mel-O-Dee for catering and Charlotte too!

Very nice selection. Mel-O-Burger is very very good, maybe the best double decker burger I've had. Onion rings are also great. Gonna try the specialty chicken next time which seems to be very popular with the regulars. Diner atmosphere is very comfortable. Service was prompt and attentive... Just right.
