Atmosphere is great, you get the country feel. Server was great and provided recommendations. You get cold slaw, applesauce and pumpkin bread for the whole table. I personally am not a fan of any of the three, so I didn't partake. Would be nice if instead of sweet potato bread, there were some other options like regular rolls.
My main course, I ordered buttermilk chicken breast, mashed potatoes and gravy and Mac and cheese. Everything was very dry. I assume most chicken breast are dry at resturants, so I always order mashed potatoes and gravy, but when that's dry too, there's not much you can do.
There's a lot to choose from on the menu, so we will be back. It's nice that breakfast is served all day.

This restaurant offers true homestyle cooking at it's best. Portions are large, service is prompt and friendly and the prices are reasonable. We come here often for comfort food - beef and noodles, chicken and dumplings, fried chicken, hand breaded tenderloin, and non-typical food like the sweet potato bread. The cheese curds are a specialty and are not like anything available at chain restaurants. Of course you must have the ice cream - made fresh from the milk if the dairy cows on site.

Good solid food. Perhaps a bit heavy on the breaded stuff. Love the Sweet Potato bread and the apple sauce. Four of us had dinner and all were happy.

Food is pretty good. We didn't have such a great waitress. She needed a lot more training. We were there for breakfast, and we're coffee drinkers. I had to literally get up & go off to find someone to get us some more coffee. Our coffee was not filled like it should have been. And that is my chief complaint of restaurants, especially at breakfast. If you're not going to put a carafe on the table, you better be coming by every 5 minutes to fill the coffee cups! And I find that usually doesn't happen. After she delivered our food, we never saw her again until she brought the check. Okay food, but you won't get the best service here.
