Kirby's

Wife and I love this place. Always ride here on the bike trail. Great food, cold beer. We want to know, is Kirby the name of the dog on the sign or the owner?

It's a neighbourhood watering hole in Loveland, Cincinnati. It has a very nice vibe and the food is freshly made there. I really enjoyed the place. The walls are adorned with photographs and music memorabilia from famous American singers. The menu is also has a pretty good variety of hearty American favourites. Fun place to go on the weekend, with a pub/ restaurant atmosphere and the staff is also great.

Joanna is a fine server that goes beyond asked! She split the salad and the entree onto separate plates and split the tickets requested.

Food rated great. We asked for a side of sour cream to go with the spinach and artichoke dip, tried the smoked house dressing (BBQ ranch), and enjoyed friend cod send with fries, tartar sauce and coleslaw.

Ticket was more than we usually care to spend but I'd still call this spot a cheap eat (just at the high end????).

Kirby's has always been a hit or miss for my wife and I. Last night was no different. The people are welcoming and friendly and decor is interesting because of the music memorabilia. I ordered a bowl of clam chowder and a salad, my wife ordered pasta and broccoli. After 15 minutes past, our waiter informed us that they were out of the chowder. I changed my order to a burger and it came out in a reasonable amount of time but my wife got her pasta but with the broccoli and squash dish not the plain broccoli she ordered. Our waiter never checked on us so rather than wait again we just made due with what we had. Food was also mixed. My burger was excellent and the Saratoga chips were warm and crisp. My wife said the pasta with a garlic sauce was virtually tasteless and she ate around the squash. The waiter did recognize the mistake and took the broccoli off our bill and was very apologetic, but over all a swing and a miss this time.

Great food and large portions. Never left there hungry. They have a single page lunch menu with great prices, but will work with you if it's not on the menu. The staff are very friendly and helpful. I will definitely eat there whenever I am nearby.
