It took 20 minutes to get through the drive thru. But the food was good.
Mcdonald's is an interesting stop. Known for the supreme convenience and lightning quick food, McDonald's is a very easy pick when in a rush. I have been through both the drive thru and inside Mcdonald's countless times. When in the drive thru, the service is always astoundingly quick. When inside, the employees offer you a number to mark your table so you do not need to stand around waiting; they bring the food to you.
The employees at Mcdonald's are nearly always happy to help. I fully understand that McDonald's are known for hiring teenagers (as most fast-food establishments do), but these teens blend in with the adults, working well and utilizing good customer service. For one reason or another, I wouldn't expect McDonald's, a location perfect for fast service, to have such a great team of employees. I would especially like to give a shout out to Brodie, for being so personable and happy to work.
As for the food, I would say that McDonald's, being a fast-food restaurant, delivers about what I would expect from a fast-food establishment. The food is clearly intended to be produced by the dozen, reducing wait times, which unfortunately does take a blow to the overall quality of the food. I don't think you need me to confirm the fast-food in general is of lower quality than the food that you may find in a larger dining establishment. That is just the fact of the situation. On the other hand, the food isn't bad. I stop in often to grab a breakfast sandwich, which I would definitely recommend. Also, the Cinnamelt is a nice treat for the go.
If you are looking for a place to eat on the cheap and are in a rush, McDonald's is an excellent contender. That being said, it is fast-food, so if you are looking for high quality food, I would recommend looking into places that are more focused on quality, not quantity. Overall, McDonald's is a fan favorite, with nice employees and reasonable prices.
The environment of this McDonald's was very busy when I arrived early morning, and the cashier didn't seem to know what she was doing, as she seemed very knew (not really in her control). I ordered a 20 piece nugget and I was given only THREE sauces. How can you finish 20 nuggets with only THREE sauces. As ridiculous as that was, a team member quickly resolved my issue by grabbing me a few more. That made me happy.
It McDonalds. You probably won't get your correct order, it's bad for you, but the fries are good. You can do better.
