The food is delicious. They make it fresh to order. I love the sesame chicken and egg rolls, and my family loves the fried rice and sweet and sour chicken. Plus fortune cookies are always fun.

Food is good! And reasonably priced too; But, service is not the greatest. I walked in and sat down at a table, only to get back up to get my own menu and notify the waitress that I was alone and will be dining in. She motions me to have a seat. I go back to the table I originally sat in. She comes to my table and asks me what I wanted to drink. I told her coke and she left. After several minutes and reading the menu a couple of times, I begin to wonder about my drink. I turn around to see the waitress just standing there doing nothing. When she sees me looking at her, she gets a coke out of the cooler, then just grabs a straw and brings it to me. I give her my order and she brings it out as it's made. No denying the freshness of the food. It never sat back there, that's for sure. She never brought a cup with ice like all the other servers had. After I finished, I looked around for my server, but I didn't see her anywhere. I got up and went to the counter again to ask for a to go box. She was leaning against one of the kitchen counters eating something. I sat down to wait several more minutes while she scurries around trying to get my check together and my box. Finally I get it and go back to the counter to pay. I didn't stiff her for her lack of customer service, but I do recommend that if you're in a hurry, this is not the place to dine in. I can only speculate that Carry out orders are probably more efficient and expeditious.

My first time eating here. Shrimp egg rolls are pretty good, but a bit pricey for just 1 little shrimp in there-$1.30-and kinda small. Ordered the shrimp pad thai as well. Used to peanut butter in the sauce - this had none, and although it was decent, the smell when I took the lid off - ugh. I'm sure it's the oyster or fish sauce they use, but it was stinky! Not bad overall, though it had a tart taste or something, nothing I could put my finger on. It had a lemon wedge in the bowl, but this was not a tart like a lemon taste. Anyway, not a huge fan of this dish. Just ate out all the shrimp, which were very good and just the right crunch, then called it a day.

I just made a fairly large order, with multiple different payments and requested that it all be bagged separately and I would pay for them all separately. Aside from the language barrier which is to be expected. I was very satisfied with the service from the woman I dealt with. She was very patient with me when I got there and was organizing and checking through my multiple orders and was very nice about everything even though I took some time going through all the bags and orders and taking multiple different payments. And as far as the food quality and taste it is great!! You get a very ample portion of food and it is fresh and hot!. The prices are very fair and all of this was prepared in a very timely fashion! I will definitely be back to Golden Chen! Thank you very much for the great lunch and your patience it is greatly appreciated!
