Food taste was good but the chicken we ordered felt like old

Great food. Always tasty, super flavorful and hot!

It doesn't look like much from the outside. Once you get inside you think you are in another country. The cuisine is from El Salvador. The waitress who took my order was totally awesome and let me sample three non- alcoholic drinks that were all delicious tasting but had their own distinctive taste. The food was delicious what I had. Saturdays there is a live band.

Good Papusas. Large order of plantains. Older dining room, could use a sprucing up. Service prompt. A little language barrier trying to get advice, but brought everything as ordered...just not all at once. Prep time indicative that everything must be made to order.

Come early for fresh so huh p of the day. Was gone before 6 pm

Years ago, I worked for a Central American refugee organization in Phoenix. It was there that I was introduced to papusas. Ever since then, I would seek out El Salvadorian restaurants. Pupuseria Katarina has the best, most varied selection. It's a gem. My favorite was the garlic ones.
