Ive been going to Godmothers for 15 yrs or so,i love their pizza and they have the best calzones, and the prices are great
Great pizzas, calzones and toppings. Everytime I order food it is well made. Only minor gripe I have is when I call in an order they seem angry like drill sargents barking orders, but hey Im not looking to conversate i want good food
Ordered side of pasta and salad -- delicious! Highly recommend!
They use real sausage (fennel seed) , and thats a big plus ..they use a light bland sauce..needs a better dough/ crust. As well. And no delivery.
I'm starting to get discouraged when it comes to only being able to review a place based on one food. But, I will say that Godmother's has some good sandwiches.
If I wrote the review just from my wife's point of view. I think it would get 5 stars based on authenticity of the establishment. She'd been looking for a place that sold steak and cheese, that had that authentic NY feel. When they answered the phone and she heard his accent she was immediately excited. She went into full NY mode, something I hadn't seen in a while.
Enough of that though, let's talk about the steak and cheese sandwiches that we ended up getting. We got large because we didn't expect them to be as large as they were, they were $7.50 a piece I believe, and they were HUGE! We ended up only eating half of our sandwiches apiece and warming them for lunch the next day (which they warmed just fine). The veggies and meat on the sandwiches were perfect and the bread very fresh. I'd love to see what their pizzas taste like, but I can't lie, we haven't gotten pizza from a shop since we began making our own. They do jar their own sauces though which peaks my interest.
