It's nice to have Ruth's Chris back in the Cleveland area. Located downtown in the old Frank and Pauly space, it's modern, airy and roomy, even when busy. We've been to all the usual high end places like Morton's, Hyde Park and Fleming's, but Ruth's Chris is still consistently better in our opinion. Outstanding steaks and sides, well poured cocktails and not too heavy desserts. Extensive wine list of course. Courteous wait staff, trained well but down to earth rounds out a very enjoyable evening.
Been to many Ruth’s Chris around the country and this one was on par with the rest. My steak was unbelievably salty and I couldn’t finish it. Seafood tower was good but there was no drawn butter for the crab. Next time to Cleveland, perhaps will check out a more local steak house option. Decent martini and the bread was okay. I did not like that they baked in a 20% service charge for a small group.
On January 29, 2020 me and my sister celebrated our late Sister’s birthday here at Ruth’s Chris! Our waiter was named RICK... and to my surprise- he was on point with “everything” and I mean everything! His deliverance was personal and amazingly beautiful! He made sure that we was satisfied, and he explained the menu in full detail!
I have had a lot of good experiences in the restaurant business- but this was over the top! I didn’t expect it! He treated us like family! He made us laugh, he offered us something that truly made us feel welcomed and I so appreciate his time and efforts. The food and drinks were fresh and awesome, and the ambiance was beautiful!
Nothing but good energy and great vibes! I highly recommend this restaurant for special occasions- and it was Rick who made my day! Thanks a bunch and continue to be a blessing! We dined sufficiently and we will be returning!
We stopped in on a Sunday evening. We ordered drinks. I had a Old Fashioned, it was delightful. My wife had a raspberry drink which she really enjoyed as well. The bread was warm and soft. I had a Ribeye with fingerling potatoes. The steak was perfectly cooked, with just the right amount of seasoning. My wife and daughter had Filets, which they loved as well. Our server and her assistant were very attentive and made us feel welcome. The decor was beautiful. I can't wait to stop again.
We were so excited to finally see CLEVELAND got a Ruth's Chris! This is in the old Frank & Pauly's location beautifully remodeled.
I took my best friend here. The waitress was great and the manager, a young African American man from Chicago, was FANTASTIC! (Sorry can't remember his name right this second.)
Our steaks, lobster, wine, side dishes were GREAT! We were celebrating and they brought us a cute dessert with "congratulations" on the plate.
The crowd was very young, urban and casually dressed. There were several people listening to their ear buds not talking to their dinner partners. I thought that was strange for a fine dinning experience.
