iRiE Jamaican Kitchen Lakewood

I want to give this a five star just because the food is absolutely amazing! Everything was so tasty! I had jerk beef Mac and cheese, oxtail box with rice, cabbage and plantains, and a side of cornbread. No complaints on the food at all! My one concern was the service. I ordered online and when I arrived only two other people were in the store. One who was sitting patiently waiting for a pickup order like myself and the other a walk in. A few minutes later 3 more customers walked in and all of them placed orders then and had the food to go before mine or the person waiting before me received our orders. Another guy came in to pick up an online order and the worker told him “we don’t have that order in our system”. They seemed very unorganized and the fact that walk-ins were getting food before people who ordered 15 mins prior was aggravating. Other than that, no complaints. The staff was friendly, the atmosphere was nice with Jamaican music playing in the background and the store was impeccably clean. Again the food is amazing!! Just need to get a bit more organized and take care of orders that were placed prior to the walk-ins.

The food was fantastic!! I'm so glad I gave it a try. I had the jerk chicken bowl with mango salsa and pineapple coleslaw. The flavors went so well together. The sauce had the right amount of heat, and the chicken was so tender. The corn bread was soft and had some sweetness to it. I highly recommend giving this place a try.

Jerk chicken is delicious but the surprising stand outs for me were the curry chicken and Mac n cheese. The spice on the curry was just outstanding. If you want a great value (portions are big) and REALLY flavorful food this is the spot.
Definitely adding this place to my regular rotation.

I heard about this place and was super excited to try it. I got the Jamaican jerk chicken box, and it was a LOT of food. Two huge pieces of chicken on top of a bed of rice and I got double cabbage. It was EXCELLENT. Spicy, flavorful, the chicken was cooked to perfection and so juicy! My fiancé got the oxtail mac and cheese, which I tried, and it was amazing. He also thoroughly enjoyed the chicken. For dessert, we got a banana pudding and rum cake. Both were delicious and flavorful with real vanilla in the pudding and tons of spices in the rum cake. 10/10 will return.
