Drop everything and go to Naomi's Recipes in Lakewood NOW. Any restaurant that serves fried okra will always get my attention and it did not disappoint. The southern rolls with chicken were delicious. The fried chicken was so juciey, it ran down my chin and the flavor of the meat was outstanding. The mac and cheese was absolutely delicious and the green beans... THE FREAKING GREEN BEANS. Yeah. I could eat an entire bowl of those green nuggets from heaven! The smothered Turkey Chops were out of this world. Left my mouth watering for more. The Collard greens and grilled vegetables were perfectly seasoned. There was zero grease on our plates. That's a plus for me. This food was cooked with care. Gold star for the service as well. We will most definitely be back.

Got the Polish boy, comes with a little slaw and crinkle cut fries drizzled with BBQ sauce. Everything was great and the staff was gracious.

The dining room was VERY nice and the owner showed me a second room that is available for large groups and it was sharp as well.

If you're looking for soul food that's not coming from a dirty old shack (but is just as good,) then you found the right place.

Lakewood’s newest restaurant doesn’t disappoint! We had dinner here tonight. The chicken and waffles were delicious, as were the fried shrimp. Really liked the Mac and cheese too. Staff is very friendly and clearly takes pride in their food. The interior is modern and clean with some nice decor.
