The BottleHouse Brewery and Mead Hall

One of my favorite breweries in Cleveland. Have been going here since I moved to Cleveland six years ago. Always so welcoming (even welcoming us to host a Friendsgiving there several years in a row) and great atmosphere. Great beer and mead.

There was no clear signage outside of the building, which was a bit confusing, but since the gps said we were there we walked in! After we walked in, NO ONE said anything, so we went up to the bar and asked if we should just sit anywhere. After we sat down, we waited for 10 minutes looking up the menu on google. Again, NO ONE came to help us, so we went to the bar to order drinks. I wish the bartender had been more helpful because we were the only customers and he sort of just stared at us while we were reading the list of drinks. I will say, they had a really big selection, it just felt extremely awkward to order. To order food, you have to go to a separate part of the building, which they also did not make very clear, we had to ask ourselves where to go to order food (the only reason I even knew they served food was from an Instagram post I had seen). The man who took our food order was very helpful and kind once we got over there and the burgers we ordered were really tasty! My only other complaint is that it was 45 degrees outside, and the thermostat inside said 60 degrees!!! I didnt take my hat or coat off the whole time! They should probably consider the comfort of their customers. I’m hoping with a few changes, this place will go far because the potential is there. For now, most likely will not be returning...

One of my favorites!! If you’ve never tried it, I highly encourage you to! They have a solid selection of meads (honey wine), beers, and ciders.

The Lakewood location is in the beautiful old Sullivan’s building. Very beautifully restored bar, and they kept the old doors. Bar staff is always friendly.

I like to go when the crowds are thinner — very comfortable. But even when the crowds are there, there is plenty of standing and sitting room to accommodate.

Best bar in Lakewood! Service is great, trivia on Wednesdays is terrific, and the beer is the best around. Highly recommend bringing some bring board games and enjoying one of their beer hall style tables! The bar itself is also beautiful, and they have a pretty nice patio.

They don't offer food currently but there's plenty of tasty options within a 5 minute walk, including barbecue right across the street.
