Sarku Japan

I noticed that Sarku was now outside of Great Northern mall and stopped here a couple weeks ago. I have to say it exceeded my expectations. I got the Teriyaki chicken combo with fried rice, no veges, dumplings, and a soda. The chicken was tender and delicious, no fatty pieces at all, the sauce was thicker and better tasting then it was last time I had it in the mall - absolutely delicious! - and the dumplings were good. I ate the entire meal even though it was a lot of food. I stopped there again yesterday and had the same meal except I had the spring rolls instead of dumplings, and I saved a lot of it for leftovers. The spring rolls were a bit overcooked on the outside but delicious inside. The teriyaki chicken and fried rice tasted great again, and was still delicious the next day after warming up the leftovers in my microwave.

Was not that happy with the food. Was better when it was in the mall. Rice was over cooked. Vegetables were mainly lettuce. The sauce was just ok

I couldn't wait for Sarku to open back up after shutting down in the mall but the food was disappointing. Portion size was great and comes with extra sauce cup but it doesn't taste the same. I got chicken teriyaki with white rice and vegetables but the rice was mushy, couldn't eat it at all, and barely got any veggies. The chicken was ok nothing like the flavorful chicken they served inside the mall. This location (former Brown Bag burger) is way more convenient than going in the mall though.
