This is a nice place to visit once. The staff was very friendly and attentive. The food on the other hand was bland and my tomalle were cold in the middle and the beans tasted like they came out of a can.

Great food great service affordable

This restaurant belongs to the Cozumel chain so you can expect good food here. The outside & inside don't offer much in atmosphere, & it is a small dining room. We came with a coupon for $3 off purchase of $20 or more, on "taco Tuesday" & for the $.99 tacos.
The salsa is just right. Not too much pepper that cuts your wind off, like most Mexican restaurants. Taco shells light & crispy. Beef filling tastes fresh & delicious. The thickly grated cheese that came in tacos was white cheddar, tho I will request the orange fine grated kind in future. We ordered a large guacamole & it was delicious also. Would definitely come back to try other dishes in future. I've been to different Cozumel restaurants in the area before & found their food to be too notch Mexican cousine. Maya was as good as they are. Only wish they had bigger dining area & more appealing atmosphere.

Update: came back again in winter 2019. Food quality seemed to of gone downhill. Not planning to return again, sadly, cuz it was a convenient location for me.

Great fish tacos. Best salsa & chips. Loved my dinner.
