Excellent beer selection! Great space and parking right across the street. Cameron was a very knowledgeable and friendly bartender.
September 2021:
Pros:
* Unique menu of draft beers and hard ciders.
* Good social venue to meet with friends and grab a little something to drink.
* There is a large, "dope" (slang for awesome) mural hanging behind the bar.
Cons:
* No food options...only drinks. Not sure if I could buy food and bring inside. Rules were not made clear to me.
Truly interesting selection, easy to read and understand. Menu is color coded between beers, ciders, and meads. Service was quick and you can bring your drink outside in the DORA (Designated Outdoor Refreshment Area) which is brilliant all by itself.
I have only been here once and had an amazing experience. I came on a Monday night after rock climbing with some of my friends, it was at the end of the night so we were the only people in there. I was immediately so impressed with the variety of beer/meed/ciders just everything they offered. Logan was extremely knowledgeable (I asked a lot of questions) and so kind to my friends and I even when we were the only ones in there until close. I left with such a positive experience and I look forward to going again.
Craft Collective, which is a side project of Cleveland Hts.'s Bottlehouse Brewery is a great bar. The space is open, inviting, clean, well-lit, and well managed. Bartenders are friendly and extremely knowledgeable. In my experience they really enjoy answering questions and working with customers to ensure they end up with just the right drink. (Conor, the bartender who looks like a viking, but who always has a big grin on his face, is a particular fave). Features include Bottlehouse's beers, ciders (including the burgeoning Gnarly Pippin splitoff brand), and mead, as well as well crafted cocktails and impressive amaro selection. The space is clean, bright and inviting.
The sort of "hidden gem" aspect of CC that I think some reviewers might miss is its non-Bottlehouse beer selection. Craft collective's ever changing tap list has Northeast Ohio hits that many may recognize, but it also regularly features beers that cannot be found outside their individual breweries. Short of a driving tour of thirty or forty breweries between Toledo, Dayton, Akron and Columbus, a visit to Craft Collective is the only way to experience the absolute best of what Ohio's rapidly growing beer and cider scene has to offer.
Craft collective is worth a visit for beer, cider, mead, and cocktail fans, and rates 10/10 for discovering you love something you had never even heard of.
P.S. Craft Collective, like nearly every craft brewery in the country, does not offer free samples of its beers. Ohio's best beer is small batch, and the artists who brew it can't afford to give it away.
