The Backstretch

Good bar food. Last time in the old dude working the bar was struggling to keep up. When he finally came to the table to he could t help with the beer list and told us the list in the menu was wrong. Had no idea what was on tap up there...... (you’ve been “up there” pouring beers all day). So we walked back up to the bar to look At the taps and make our selection. We could’ve cut out the middle step and saved some time and ordered in our way through.
Print out your beer list and have them on the tables.

The menu is unique as well as the atmosphere. I enjoyed watching the cook prepare the dishes as he was behind part of the bar. The service was lacking a bit, but I would give it another chance. I had the spicy carrot wrap which was interesting and my husband had the tacos with chicken which were really good.

The Backstretch is a hidden gem. It looks like a hole in the wall bar but is much more. The owner offers a driver's menu that changes with the seasons. There's is a delicious cauliflower sandwich over the winter that my wife and I both love. We are not vegetarians; it just caught or eyes on the menu and proved to be a great choice. They offer plenty of other great tastes. The staff is very friendly. Service is typically quick.

We go for the food. Our order was dry rub wings, hand cut fries, and a kids hot dog and chips. All good - I've never had food here that I wouldn't order again!

Very good burger, despite coming out more done than I asked it. (Asked for medium, came out close to well). Drinks were decent. Couldnt seem to get the guys attention for ketchup or a second drink... Had to walk up to the bar to ask. Food was very good though. Will go back, would recommend to my friends.
