La Matraca Mexican Grill and Cantina

Beautiful art and decor. The food was delicious. My husband normally doesn't like Mexican food, but raved about how good his meal was. They even brought out the Matraca for me to see and turn. I never heard of an Matraca rattle before! So nice of them to bring it to the table and let me try it.

First time here, and had pretty darn good food. Service was lacking, with our waitress only checking on us twice. We'll go back but I hope service is a little better.

The food was okay, I got a lunch order of burrito la matraca, and it was served just barely warm and slightly underwhelming, and the rice didn't have much flavor.

Service was good, though. However, there were only a couple of other tables seated.

A lot of other reviews stated this tasted homemade, and I would have to disagree.

Great new spot in town! Great service, fast and delicious food, we had the chimichanga and Chile relleno, the salsa was awesome too! And the pico de gallo is the best I’ve had out!

Had the Hawaiian Fajitas, an excellent combination of chicken, onion, peppers, bacon and pineapple. Everything tasted homemade and fresh, including the chips and salsa. Delaware has a lot of choices when it comes to Mexican restaurants and they all have great food, but this one has plenty of FREE parking.
