CJ's Soul Food

Best soul food place in Columbus as far as I'm concerned. Food and service is phenomenal. We went on a Sunday afternoon and there was a gentleman playing the saxophone...it was super enjoyable atmosphere and the food was on point. We've tried a couple different places since moving from Detroit and this place comes the closest to tasting like home.

Came here with my sister's. We all got different things on the menu. And let me tell you... Everything is heaven sent delicious! OMG! I wish this place was closer to my house. The fish, the ribs, the chicken, everything. Whoever made the yams....we married now 😂♥️! Thank you CJs soul food for a delicious meal! Highly highly recommend this place if you are look for good seasoned soul food

The food was jot out the kitchen and seasoned VERY WELL no lack of "Soul" in the food here 🙏🙏 The main portions are more than enough I'd suggest sharing sides they are ordered Á La Carte. I had the pork chops u get 2 very nice size chops cooked to perfection. My lady had the Fried Roughy and 2 large pieces cooked to perfection 🥰. The Candied Yams (JESUS TAKE ME NOW) to die for IF they would make a sweet potato pie like they do the Candied Yams I would have bought a WHOLE pie to go 🤣😂. The Greens are awesome they might be a little spicy for some so take smaller bites 😂😂. The Dirty Rice straight from a Louisiana Kitchen 😋. All in all you can't miss here 💯

We had a chance to do a happy hour with some coworkers and we decided to try out CJ's. It was a nice location and had good space to accommodate people. The bar was nice and they had fun drink list. We ordered the Soul rolls and the Collard Green Dip to start us out. The drinks we good and the food hit the spot. We also tried the flat bread pizza, rib tips and Mac and Cheese. Everything was tasty and the waitresses were attentive and fast to come and clean up and meet our needs. We will definitely go back.

I will have to say the food here was superb! The service was beyond beautiful. I will definitely be going back here especially for date night the live music was great. You wouldn't regret it! The Perch Fish and Chicken were fried perfectly and the ambiance was amazing. The food was well prepared and the presentation was excellent. Keep up the good work!
