Bru Burger Bar - Westerville

At the time of writing this was pretty much newly build not that long ago.
It’s good for going with groups. Because they planned around space.
It has two floors, with the bar on the ground floor.
Staff was friendly and tried to work around the chaos of people there and our group arriving at different times.

Downside is that it was busy and it took fairly long to go from ordering to having your food and drink.
Don’t know if it’s a kitchen/bar issue where they can’t keep up. Or staff not being able to keep bringing order. Either way I am fairly simple with a plain burger.. and that took almost 2 refill of beers so about 20minutes easily.

I like to try different beers, and they got a fair amount. But they swap out the beers, meaning that the menu given was completely out of date.. and i just had the server give me something that would be like the original beer I wanted.

Great service and the best burgers in Columbus! I’m surprised by some of the negative reviews on here. I went on a busy Saturday night and had a pretty average wait for a table considering it’s 7pm on a Saturday. After being seated our server was very attentive and friendly. Burgers were perfectly cooked. The manager was out on the floor running food and popped by to check on us. Overall a great experience and we will be back again and again!

Great food. Onion rings and burgers were cooked perfectly. Table service was good. To get seated took far too long. Open tables were available but the host just stood there and talked with a guy for a while. Should have either paused the conversation or had someone else take over as host. Lastly, the food is a bit over priced for what you get.

For a late Monday night dinner, it was great. I don't know how busy they get, but it was super nice and clean inside and out. Great burger and chili cheese fries ???? Also had a good experience with all the staff. Even the restrooms we're nice. ????

God, I really want to give this place five stars, I really do, because the food is really good...however, the service 2/3 times I've been there was pretty awful. And I feel like the first time I can't even count because it was for a work happy hour & I could only stay 20 minutes.
The burgers are so delicious & the fries are yummy (I get mine well-done/crispy). The few apps I tried at the happy hour were good as well (pretzels, nachos & chicken).
The service is something yet to be desired though. Both times I actually dined we sat at the bar. The first time it was really busy, the second time were we're the only people sitting at the bar. Strangely, when it was busy wasn't as bad as when nobody else was there. I'm not one who needs much interaction at all, but I felt largely ignored. Also, both times it took forever for the bartender to notice or ask if we wanted another drink (even when we clearly placed our empty glasses out in front of us indicating so). I've served & bartended in my life many times so I'm pretty forgiving when it comes to this.
Regardless, I'm sure I'll still go back because the food is that good, I'll just have to go knowing I'll receive poor service. Food: 5 star burger place, service: 2
